SMCF is very pleased to report that the foundation has been awarded $300,000 over three years from Arapahoe County’s American Rescue Plan Act funds to help establish the Tri-Cities Homeless Navigation Center! This major award comes in addition to an earlier grant from the county in the amount of $10,000.
In addition, the Daniels Fund, a major Denver foundation, saw publicity about the homelessness forum that SMCF co-sponsored in Littleton, and approached SMCF about receiving a grant of $50,000 to help get the Tri-Cities Homeless Navigation Center off the ground. A letter of agreement has just been signed between SMCF and the Daniels Fund.
The Daniels Fund, established by cable television pioneer Bill Daniels, is a private charitable foundation dedicated to making life better for the people of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming through its grants program, scholarship program, and ethics initiative. Finally, Sheridan Rising for Equity, has granted $2,500 to SMCF help bring the Navigation Center on-line.
We are most appreciative for all of this amazing support!
